Japanese ambassador meets health minister Tehran Times Health Desk

TEHRAN- Japan’s ambassador to Iran, Kinichi Kumano, met with Health Minister Marzieh Vahid-Dastjerdi on Saturday.

During the meeting Kumano asked the health minister to provide an opportunity for Japan so that it can give more aid to Afghan immigrants in Iran.
Vahid-Dastjerdi asked her deputy for international affairs to give the necessary information to the ambassador in this regard and lay the groundwork for Japan’s help to Afghan immigrants.
The health minister also briefed the ambassador on Iran’s progress in the area of health.
She also announced Iran’s readiness to develop cooperation with Japan and called on the ambassador to facilitate cooperation between the two countries.
The new Japanese ambassador also presented a report on his plans in Iran.
The ambassador said he is witnessing great changes in Iran in the area of public health since he visited Iran 23 years ago.
Now hospitals in Iran are equipped with the most up-to-date medical facilities, he added.
The two sides also exchanged views on how to develop cooperation in the areas of health and medical treatment.
